my money is with the 150 on this test
As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.
When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.
Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.
Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.
Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.
Thanks for your patience and support!
This could go on and on. Yes I understand of course added torque can wear you out, but also if you are not a perfect rider the additional power and torque of a 250 can help you from making mistakes in the first place! All riders and styles are different while one guy may be faster on a 250 the next guy may be faster on a 125. Round 2 soon. Adding motion pro terminator clutch cable and 50 tooth rear sproket to the 250 and doing a longer test. We shall see.... STAMINA is for sure critical in any sport.that is not a bike factor anymore at the later stage of the race time its the stamina of the rider factor
added torque also wears you out due to the pulling power on your arms.
winning races is all about the combination of bike, physical strength and stamina of the rider and not to forget to keep yourself mentally in control during the race.

I thought the comparison was bike versus bike... which... surprize-surprize!!, was the headline. Now it's all about rider ability. Why not repost with the title: "I can't handle a 250 very long, so I'm ultimately faster on a 150"?
Ouch. That is very funny, however this comparison is not over yet and although opinions seem to vary, I'm really not sure at this point what bike I will be faster on. In theory the 250 should win and may. I need to dial it in some and fiddle with the suspension some to, just to make it a more fair comparison. Remember the 150 is dialed in very nice and the 250 is 100% STOCK. If I get time tomorrow, I will be doing some longer back to back testing, and I gope to do 3 tests paer bike. Little bit of a smart ass comment considering at this point the only difference in 2 tests is a total of 1 second. And with all do respect I could probably smoke you on a Husky 50! Just kidding. Kind of. Anyways. Need more testing, but again the one thing that does seem apparent when jumping directly from one bike to the other is that the newer modern chassis does feel better then that of the 250. If it came down to placing bets. And both bikes are dialed in the same. And the rider is in good physical condition, I would put my money on the 250! I was sticking up for the 250 to start with, and was surprized that the stock 250, would only be 1 second behind the 150 after 2 tests. Everyone else is throwing in factors. 3 app 1/2 hour tests per bike in Hunterville, and then 3 of the same in Akeley, will determine a true winner in my book. And if the 250 wins, I will be riding a 250 this year even if the 150 seems to make more smiles and fun.I thought the comparison was bike versus bike... which... surprize-surprize!!, was the headline. No argument there. And with all do respect I could probably smoke you on a Husky 50! Just kidding. Kind of. Anyways.
I know. I was just kidding to. No tests today. Wife is threatening me and said I'm riding to much! (I have barely rode this year!)No argument there. You could probably smoke me on a tricycle. Cool your jets Fletch, I forgot to put a winking smiley at the end of my post above. I was kidding.

Where do I find out more info, and is Halls going to start stoking the goods? Does the old cylinder work better? Or will a new one work? Will anyone be selling the KTM pipe set up for it?? I heard Halls was working on one, but have not heard anything else. Thanks. If I entered a race right now hands down would pick the WB165 over about any bike.
