• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Round 7 of the Big 6 race series, Gorman, CA

Man, I almost caught you T Coastie. 2 places behind overall. Was great to meet you. That's 2 cafe members in 2 weeks. I'm on a roll

I'm pretty sure you were sandbagging yesterday. :D

Good to meet you as well. And, you even got to meet my better half.

Fun day yesterday. Two CH guys out at Big 6 and both making podium! Noobee and I both pulled down 3rd place finishes.

Forks were ok, BTW. Seal stopped leaking - that can either be a good thing or a bad thing. Has me scratching my head. Still gotta get that looked at this week so I can be ready for Baja.

Prospectors put together a heck of a race. Some pretty challenging stuff mixed in with some stuff that really allowed you to get up and gas it. I had never been out to that area before so it really made for a great experience.

They did put on a well run race. I guess after that many years it gets pretty dialed in. I hung around and watched the Big Boys throw down and BSd with Tinken for a few. Got home and even had everything unloaded before dark. Fun times to be had close to home.

Sorry to miss the race. I was on the fence about it as seemed just a 45 minute lap or two (oblivious of competition, class I would be in, sourse etc...) so opted to surf. Congrats on the podiums noobee and tc
