It's been pretty hot up here this summer. Hotter than the past three summers. I had to buy another air conditioning unit for the bedroom because the one in the living room just couldn't cover the whole tiny apartment anymore. On the weekends, it's best to get going as early as possible when the temps will peak in the upper 90s/low 100s. The Uinta mountains are often ten or fifteen degrees cooler than southwestern Wyoming, but the mountains were just as warm as the high desert plains this month. The only saving grace is that the Uintas get some nice thunderstorms in the afternoon, and then it cools down sometimes more than 25 degrees.
I gave the little KLX a break and took the Beta up there last weekend, and had a blast. Went up the Cow Creek trail and took some pix up there. It was a great day for trail riding. Had to wash the Beta up good afterwards.
