This is totally beside the point for a car of this vintage...but how can you afford to drive it? You mentioned it was going to be your new daily driver so you can sell the wifey car. I just filled up, it's $4.79 for 87 octane here. My car gets 33MPG and I'm still wishing I had my older TDI that got 50+.

It sure looks clean no doubt.
I did a little cost comparison...
My Chrysler verses any semi modern used car (using my Saab Turbo or wifes Mercedes as examples as I have owned and maintained them for a few years)
Overall cost is low ($3000) verses say $8000 or so for a nice used car in similar shape
Tune up was $62 and i did it myself and was fun ($1100 for my wifes Mercedes)
Tires are not fancy Z rated low profile so are half the cost $220 for the whole car instead of $650 i just paid for the Saab
replaced the alternator on the Saab, $600, did so on the Chrysler, $43 and i installed in myself with three EZ to get to bolts
passenger seat electronic control went out on the Mercedes and was draining the battery, $700, the Chrysler doe snot have this. (simple is divine)
License it once and no DEQ ever, new cars are a couple hundred a month if they do pass and more if they do not
My car is holding value or appreciating while my Saab and Mercedes depreciate. I have yet to loose money in fact i have made $1000 or more on every one i have owned
My car is cool and get looks and thumbs up and fun conversations, the others are just cars.
I do not commute and do not drive major miles per week but do drive some
I can carry 6" aluminum stock for my biz int he truck of the Chrysler :>)
I love these funky old cars and love driving them.
I think as with any modern cars if you keep the record and look at them maintenance if VERY expensive and you can't do it yourself. I like working on my vintage cars, it is fun and EZ. For me all the costs of ownership on newer cars, the depreciation, and the fact that you can't work on it yourself is what makes the gas costs palatable but you do have to remind yourself of this when filling it up.
It has been my daily driver for many months now and I'm loving it. Probably not for everyone and not for super long commutes in traffic every day but for me works out and i really appreciate the old cars.
