  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Setting a TE up for the odd MX

G'day all in my area there is'nt allot of enduro's (about 8 a year) so to fill the gaps I do allot of motocrosses and the odd flat track. Its a 2009 te250 and I know it will take allot of engine work to get it up there with the YZ's etc but I'm not interested in keeping up with the leading blokes I just want a comfy ride. I'm 67kg (147 lbs) + riding gear

Any info and opinions would be excellent :D

(I'm trying to just keep to playing with clickers because I don't want to be switching springs around for every different race I'm not that pro lol unless of coarse you could suggest an excellent all round set up)

cheers Sid

I have an 08 te450 and love to ride the mx track. I could definitely use some tips on suspension setup as i still run stock springs and number on clickers. 155 lbs w/ gear
HELP US!!! PLease!

yeah my wrists get a bit sick of botoming out after jumps lol and its hard getting enough rebound to shoot up the big fellas :P

I am racing a GP this weekend on my TE450 and I know I will bottom a few times. These bikes blow through the stroke way to easy. Temp fix is to add fork oil but it can make the forks harsh, heavier spring for the rear. Saving my pennies for a LTR revalve.
