• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Sounds like you might need a bit of a tune up. In stock form mine was capable of a about 106 mph and with a free flowing exhaust and a bit of carb work could top 110 without breaking a sweat.

My 630SMS with stock 15/38 gearing pegs the revs at 110 mph.

It would do more with a smaller rear, but I'm not going that way....

I got a 105 to 110 out of mine but never did it for long. I did not want a piston implant in me nether regions.

My 07 SM has seen 122mph a couple of times. Prolly could have gotten 124-128 with better fuel and a fresh tune up. Stock gearing.

What tires sizes, and was that with the stock dash or GPS? I ask because the stock 610 dash was way off on a couple I have seen. My 630 dash matches GPS speeds within a couple mph all the way up to 110.

120/70-17 front and 150/60-17 rear.

Neither. That was two-way averaged trap speed.

103mph the other day with my TE with just arrows and arrow ecu no other mods (my speedo is within 1mph gps)

My 2009 Stock standard TE 610 Did 150 0n gps last weekend with panniers and camping gear gearing 15/47. at 7,000 rpm.

Just over 160 kmh is about my limit (630SM), as my arms fall off after a while (mind you, that´s only when the steering´s not on its "wobble" day). I do 150 kmh regularly on longer stretches of Autobahn on my way to work. If I had a fairing, I´d almost certainly be able to do quite a bit more. My speedo has still got 165 kmh registered as max. (done some time back).
