• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

hi there, just bought a husky 630sm motard. I just wanted to ask if anyone knew the best way to get a fatter rear tyre on the bike?

do i get a pair of excel or geinhart wheels? I would like to go at least 160size rear. standard size is 150. aside from looks, i would prefer a larger rear tyre coming from riding sportsbikes, the 150 feels a little strange when turning in, maybe i just have to get used to it.

I would appreciate any info from anyone. thanks!:}

Hi
On my SM 630 it`s the chain that restricts the size of rear tire. Currently I am running a 160x60x17 rear, and it just misses rubbing on the chain. (original rims)

hi,
thanks for your input! others have told me it depends on the brand of tire we use. can you tell me what brand tires that are on your bike? the 160 rear tire...

thanks,
Enrique

Hi again redback,

also, what other mods have you done to your bike? Im about to pick mine up from the dealer next week. Can't wait.

thanks
Enrique

Hi there Enrique.

I run Michelin tires front and rear http://www.michelinmotorcycle.com/index.cfm?event=pilotpower2ct which fits and looks ok.

Mods so far are not over the top, but there is still time and room for more.

So far:
New exhaust - Arrows ( not installed DB killers )
Removed PU and installed a resistor
Upgraded EFI with new software ( plug and play, came with exhaust )
Removed original plateholder
Hand guards

next mods:
Off with original mirrors, and install smaller ones.
New rear sprocket 42Tn ( and new front )
New chain
New lower foot pegs
Some bling parts :D
