• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

My stock D253 needs to be replaced. I will fit 150/60R17 and was wondering if anyone tried Diablo Rosso II, Pilot Power, Metzeler M5, Conti Attack SM or Michelin Power One B?

My bro has the Conti attack SMs on his 690.
Really sticky tyre! not sure they will last very long but they do good round the corners and he has a lot of confidence in them.

Got Pilot Power on mine.. really really better than the Diablo that came with the bike.. I wanted to put on metzeler m5, but 150/60R17 wasn't available, only 160 in Greece..

Still, my testing ground is Greece and despite the sun, the roads are made of ice (not real ice, just crap quality asphalt :P)
So we get double the mileage from our tyres and we get to drift a lot.. if the Pilot Power can find traction in greek roads, then i think it'll be very sticky in a decent road..
not sure about it's duration though, only got mine on for 800km..

I ran Pilot Power 2CT's on my Husaberg 650 supermoto and was always pleased with them, it was always ridden hard and rarely gave any scares, rear lasted about 1300 miles. Next I tried Michelin Power Ones, these tyres grip like nothing I've tried, super soft compound with seemingly endless grip even on a severe angle, really do install confidence to push hard, never tried them in the wet so can't comment there. My rear was a 160 and I ran it at 24psi front at 26psi.
