    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Well a deal came along that I couldn't refuse so I sold the Terra and got a 2016 690 Enduro. Thanks for everybody's assistance and great posts over the years- you helped me a lot!

Enjoy! The 690 is a great bike. The 690 Enduro version of the LC4 engine is really good. There was a time when the old Husky 6 speed TE610 estart DS had it all over the old 5 speed LC4, but not anymore.

Was there any performance change with GRP and whats the noise level like and does it have a DB killer?
 
Personally I found that it gave me more bottom-end snap- was easier to lift the front wheel. The noise level was loud but not terrible. It comes with the db killer and the removable cat.

Hi Kiwiape. I have the same exhaust. There is the db killer which fits into the rear and another cone shaped baffle that fits in the front of the muffler behind the catalytic converter. I was running without the catalytic converter and without the front conical baffle but with the rear db killer and fellow riders complained it was too loud riding behind my bike at highway speeds. Ive since installed the front conical baffle filled with some stainless steel dishwasher scourer too quieten it down a bit more. It seems fine to me but waiting for feedback from my compatriot riders.
 
It is loud like LED stated. I had a DG on my DRZ previous to this bike and it was louder though. It is much louder than stock but with my earplugs in I didn't find it too bad.

I assume it was Mcalistr's GPR exhaust I just picked up on ebay. Excellent purchase and trustworthy seller. There are still some of the parts above available in his ebay store. The exhaust is in great condition and was shipped along with the instructions and original packaging. Yes, I am running it with the baffle out and cat in. It is VERY LOUD! I will likely run it with the baffle in but wanted to have some fun first...
