• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Nice small fan.

You would also be able to put an oil pump & cooler on 500AE too like you asked here

Just need electric oil pump. For this you could use the VDO oil pump i reckon as its just trans oil and not as hot as it would be in the 4 stroke. The VDO oil pumps were designed for this but not as a full engine oil pump for a 4 stroke. Thats from the info i have read anyway.

Would be good to see some photos if anyone else has done it.

that is a 4 stroke.

Ok so i was right then. I thought i was and thought it was a 2 stroke. So what i said above about the VDO pump being ok to use on the 2 stroke auto trans for a cooler is still relavant but for the 510 i think you would need to use another electric pump.
I bought a small vertical mount Lockhart oil cooler for a Harley the otherday so i will post some photos/dimensions for reference when i get it.

I thought we were talking about the original post. Are you wanting to run a trans cooler for the auto trans?

for an AE/AC I don't think in Vincross , that's possible in Vinduro with the 500
for an AE/LC you put one water expansion tank on the frame enter the 2 radiators (I had that on my 1/430 from Canada)
if you want see the model you inscribe you on Skype :p it's free and quickly :D
