• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Stalling

My Strada has stalled 3 times now and each time its tried to throw me sideways, also I do not like the fact that when pulling away sharpish at a junction, needs loads of revs to keep it from stalling!
Husqvarna from the uk are rubbbish at sorting issues and don't even have a phone number to contact them, probably would'n get through anyway if they did!
I've got an 'Eruption' made up and will fit this Saturday. Sod the warranty who's going to sort out those future issues if they can't be contacted.
Let me now how the eruption spoof works out for you I am getting close to purchasing a Strada and am concerned about the stalling issue.

Right here goes!

Fitted the Eruption air sensor today after very easily removing the side panel (left) and locating the plug etc.

Husqvarna messed up here big time, they could have done the first sensor for emissions and had a switch for the Eruption type sensor but hayho!

Now to make you realise that this is the trick to fool the bikes brain in making the bike perform the way it should, it has!

Now I can pull away slowly with a constant low throttle opening and crawl out of a junction without having to rev the bike so it won't stall and spit you onto the road!

Running at low revs cruising along the road is now possible with 40 mph in top without stuttering, and no more flat spots.

BEST £20 I have ever spent on a fixer for a bike!

Visegrip, you can now safely make that purchase with confidence, great machine and now made better!

Apologies for not addressing the stalling issue in the original post, I went back & modified it...

Will this mod stop stalling problems?
That was the motivation for me to find a solution. My bike would stall & though the dealer's "program update" helped matters it didn't eliminate my lean stall issue. After The Eruption & post engine warm-up, I have never had a stall since.

My personal experience:

1) Bought Strada, it was bad. Stalled regularly. Dealer MOSS'd. Never stalled again, still a bit of hesitance below 4k RPM.

2) Bought Terra, it stalled but much, much less. But it wasn't running as good as the Strada. Bought Wuka Plug. It's never stalled again, runs much nicer. Lost about 5 MPG. *** see below

3) Ride them back to back, I prefer the bike with the Wuka, it's just a lot smoother.

If my Strada stays in my garage, it too will get a Wuka. I have no experience with the Wuka like products like Booster Plug, the $20 home brew run-it approach, etc. While Wuka worked for me, I have no reason to believe the other's wouldn't.

As posted previously, the Wuka made my Terra run much nicer. I've since sold both the Terra and the Strada, but got this note in mail from the Wuka folks today....

See what I found in Italy the problem of deadlock. For now I'm waiting for more news. soon as I know more I will tell you.
However, my struggle is a matter of principle, because the installation of the booster plug the problem of deadlock disappears completely. I've installed this way:

I installed the plug, not the booster Wuka. I do not know how much difference there is in me, but the booster has resolved. But I invite you to do the utime update the controller with the moss. Also this helps. Combining the two things Wuka ... (or booster plug) and you'll see that update will go ok.
