  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

starter recall on xlites

Husqvarna
AA Class
good news today, dealer called and said that there is a recall on my 2013 te 310r for
the starter and the parts that go with it .he said the repair parts are in and for me to bring
the bike in .

Hmm, I wonder what parts that involves and if they're any different than the parts on the 2011?

Yes, I got the call as well. I take mine in this Saturday am.

Will also post my findings.

Mine just clicks sometimes, sometimes several times before taking off. I already checked all connections.

I replaced mine this weekend. Bike isn't even broken in yet so I have not noticed a difference.

my 2011 te310 has worked great. The only starting problem I have is with the lame kill switch. It's backwards. Plus, When making a tight turn from a stop on an incline, I have to lean forward and my chest protector either honks the horn or shuts the bike off.

Have not had a problem on my '12TXC, so far. Will hafta check to see if this year included.....

Yeah, I'm thinking this will be for all the 250-310 x-Lites with e-start. Otherwise you'd have to assume they had it right, then wrong, and now right again....or some other odd combination

ETA Note this is wishful thinking

Ok, took mine in Saturday. They were telling me that the new gears are also polished. It seems to have also solved my clicking issue, from hitting button and just clicking. Maybe other gears were a little tighter.
