• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Strada Top Speed

I had a wobble at 63-70 and wouldn't go higher because of it. I added hand gaurds and removed bar weights and it's gone. Although I've only gone up to 80mph there was no more wobble. If that is coincidence or not I don't know.

I have cruised along at 160kph smooth as a whistle, no shake or anything, still running stock rubber. Not even any buffeting since l adjusted my stock screen up 3mm at the top, ithas even cleaned up the buffeting in dirty air a lot.
Going to try 3mm on the bottom and 5mm on the top and see how that goes.

I normally only get wobble over 85 mph and it's very subtle. However, I notice if I grip the bars tightly I tend to get some shimmy over 65 mph. Loosen up that death-grip and see if it helps.

Äh... sorry... can you explain the modification to a non native english speaker

I placed a rubber grommet under each of the top screws on the factory screen to change the angle of it. I hope by placing the 3mm grommets on the bottom and using some 5mm grommets on the top, it might work like the old BMW's that had a raised screen, causing a vacuum underneath, effectively getting rid of the turbulence behind it.
Hope this helps, if interested, l can take some photos.

Hi to all.

Don't know if there has been a post related to this. Please bear with me. Thanks.

The manual says a top speed of 175kph.

Has anyone actually attempted to validate this info.?

I know this bike is not into high speed but would want to know though.

I had the guts yesterday to test and at around 125-130kph the bike began to really shake hard and almost crash. Damn! Good thing I was able to hold on to the bars and slowed down.. It was like 5 to 10 seconds of rattle. I was stupid though that I did that with hard side bags and the top case installed though the bags are all empty. Rear shock setting was factory and tire pressure were at standard 35 and 28 psi rear and front.

What could have caused this issue? What was the top speed you have reached.

Appreciate your thoughts on this.
I hit 103 and it still wanted to climb. over 100 mph on d 908s is asking for hurt.
