• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Stradafy Your Terra...

Woody's originally recommended 17" rear and 19" front which would have been a good compromise and avoided the stabilizer. However, I wanted the stance, width, and overall look of 17"s! LOW and WIDE. Please let me know if you have more questions. Good luck with your mod.
The Strada's has 19" front wheel, and could still do with a stabilizer.
With the 17" frontwheel, you have better roadtyre options.

I used a set of hubs I purchased off of ebay for $150 total and sent them off to Woody's.

A tired looking set of hubs would cost twice that on this side of the pond.

At the risk of being too sensible I've gone with 17/19. I've ordered a set of GS650G cast wheels in factory black (same wheels as the Strada I believe) from a breakers. I'll stick Metzler Tourance Next tyres on them I think.

Massive difference on the road, now the Terra has undergone stradafication.

Can you tell me the model # of the scorpion exhaust? That is likely going to be my next modification. Did you replace it on both sides or just the one? The bike looks awesome and I am sure it performs much better on the road and in twisties!

I went with both sides as I didn't want it to be too loud.

Those are stainless Scorpion Serkets. I don't have an exact model number. I picked them up from two different sellers on ebay, they where ex display (fixed to a cardboard stand for a season) without hardware. 100GBP each delivered. Approx 2" length of pipe, 2" OD reducing to 1 3/4 ID for the link pipe and a stainless threaded rod connector as the hanger spacer.

Yep the bike looks fantastic! Thanks for sharing! I'm tempted to get my Strada wheels painted black as well. I'd also like to buy a spare seat and shape the rear of the seat so that it is tapered and flush with the rear cowling - basically like a standard enduro seat. I think it would give it more of a svelt dirt bike look.
