  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

swingarm chain slider

Husqvarna
AA Class
08 TC 510....is there anything else besides OEM? I could not find one on TM Designworks site....please advise. Thanks.

thanks Andyman. I have the BRP guide, I am looking for a swingarm slider, near the pivot. I thought TM had them, but couldn't find it on their site. Ah, I will check the UFO slider out. thanks Duke.

Awwww dangit! :banghead: Dunno what I was thinking. Yeah, far as I know, TM doesn't make one for us. Sorry 'bout that.

be advised a slider with a higher hump is in the works helps neutralize acceleration squat/compression. ZipTy is in R&D

1+ on the BRP my 06 TE250 had one. I removed it when I sold it and installed it on my 08 TE610 no issues.

I need a new solution for this too. I've blown through three stock ones and 1 aftermarket (UFO). I even tried going to a larger front and rear sprocket to *see* if that might make a bit of difference. I thought I remember a post somewhere saying a KTM slider will work. So I'm just bumping this thread up hoping that maybe a new idea is out there, as I am on the market for yet ANOTHER chain slider. :P

Incidentally, the UFO is poorly designed and doesn't even cover all the swingarm area that the chain could make contact with. With this aftermarket one, the chain actually caught the side of the slider and ripped the bolt out. Special!
