• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Switched 12v Power supply

That connector is listed on the schematic as X9220B, which is labeled "Pull up resistor fuel level". The Green/Blue wire goes to Fuse #7 which is 4A, and that Green/Blue wire also goes to "battery KL15C" on the ABS unit, and onto the "Position light" (small bulb in the headlight assembly in case the headlight burns out), and also powers the tail light.

The other wire to the connector in the picture is White/blue which goes to the fuel pump assembly connector on the top of the tank called "switched fuel reserve", and onto the dashboard labeled "Fuel reserve".

Apparently there is no resistor connected to the "Pull up resister fuel level" - it is in case that is needed. I hope.

Based on the information in this thread I clipped the connector in the picture above thinking it was the accessory connector X9349B, which should have gone to fuse #2, which is 15A.

So don't do what I did, leave the connector in the picture alone, unless you need a tiny amount of power for a low power accessory.

Sorry! My fault, i had a more precise look at the wiring plan :(

Coffee is right, the connector is X9220B and not X9349B!

So plug 83300402344 fits to X9220B and not to X9349B.

Nevertheless i think i can use it for connecting an USB-charger, fuse which is 4A should be ok.

So again the question: Does anyone know where to find X9349B which shall be the connector for additional accessory?

I am dumb when it comes to electrical. Basically this plug above the head can be used as a switched power to activate a moto brain, PDM60, or a relay?

I was on a damn wrong way

Now i found the connector which is listet as X9349B. Thank you very much SpittingCobra!!!

Cartool plug (83300413585) fits to X9349B, but you have to change the pins.

Pin 1 is ground. Original Cartool power is pin 3. For connection to X9349B you have to change pin 3 to pin 2.

I also thought an accessory socket would be conveniently provided behind the headlight. Apparently 2cm above the hot cylinder head is a better location. What was I thinking!

Badrapp, You can use the plug X9349b to power a GPS etc directly as the Gr Wh wire is fed from F2, a 15amp fuse. (Incidently, the brown wire is a conveniently provided earth for accessories). If you anticipate drawing more than a couple of amps then it would be better to use it to switch a relay and use a suitable in-line fuse and heavier wire to suit the load. Always have the fuse close to the battery so that it protects all the new wiring.
