Tag Hill ride (2nd) on my 08 WR250 Husky

This ride is #1 for the time ... This road will turn much worst in the near future and I wanna get as many rides on it before it turns into ST ... I like the multiple lines on the newly graded roads like this one ..

Here's a few pics of the ride over using Lusaran Pass...Its raining here but Tag Hill is about ~15 miles away so not sure what will be happening when I arrive there.

These guys are headed over this mountain for goods I'd guess ... Charcoal maybe ..

The low clouds really added to the exotic-ness of the view.

That uphill is something I like to see ... First, its more steep than it appears (and ~all rock) and has multiple lines ... You can see the 'easiest' riding line the locals take and it does not always follow the law and yes there are traffic laws out here. So, if I'm making a Husky move up that hill, taking that inside line is pretty safe because the riding line is on the outside ... It really freaks the other riders out when I catch them on the wrong side because they always try to get back on their 'legal' side of the road. Usually funny to me to see them react to an event they do not see often.

Rain one minute and the sun is out the next ... I like it like that for dirt bike riding ... Warm rain also so you don't have to stop unless you melt in the rain..

Thxs and its a dirt bike riding mecca here ... When I decided about 8yrs ago to come here and live, I knew it was gonna be good but after 4 yrs here, its got better in ways that I had not even thought about ... Like these places that morph QRTLY, or semi-yearly, or when ever a grader comes around and changes the riding, it's just what I like and want to see when on my Husky.

Stopped over at the ECO park for grub .. Anyone remember those 8-wheelers? They appeared in AR in the 70s also if my memory is correct. Duck hunters liked them at that time.

Arrival at the bottom of Tag Hill in Tag Valley with a view of Tag River. All named by me. I'm sure the river has a name but I probably can't spell of pronounce it ..

You can see the mud on the FS ...it was a little sticky towards the bottom..


Seems these guys are always living off the fat of the land..


Now that's axle grease!



Here's the adult action taking place in the valley ... These guys are big on liter bottles and pouring shots out of the bottle... Very hard for me to track how much I have drank ....

Here's the ride down into the valley and the ride back to the top ... It was a little wet on the bottom side but not nearly as bad as I though it would be ..

I'm not advocating using alcohol before driving, but here, in this ungoverned place, there is about zero chance of the government stepping in on you most times. Yes, there are laws even in the providences. But you are on your own. By the governed world standard that I left, I'm probably .1, maybe .15 bac as my liver is weak apparently.

At age 56, I accept the fact that I'm a little tipsy... That I have to ride up that muddy, slick, and gnarly hill plus going back the ~20 miles home ... I am responsible, period, for doing this ride back home. Any crashes and it comes out of my own butt. I accept that responsibility without the need of government support.... Git it? ...

If you watch the ride back up the hill, you'll see me go into the river 1st in an attempt to get the feel of balancing the bike ... You should be able to hear my clutch work is off due to the ALCH... I'll admit I drank a few too many, but being a responsible person, I'm responsible and take that great responsibility fully and in stride on my Husky ... And it did screw my ride up pretty bad at the bottom ... I just could not get comfortable on the bike ...

I'll just add their are more than 1 foreigner who comes here and abuses what I'm trying to say above and they ride the small street bikes drunk as a skunk without helmets and kill them selves within a month or so. These are not responsible actions ... In an ungoverned world, a person really needs discipline; this attribute does not exist for many of us ...
