  • Hi everyone,

    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

    Thanks for your patience and support!

:applause::applause::applause: IT RUNS! :applause::applause::applause:

It was the main power relay, it wouldn't close. Put the fan relay in place and it runs. New relay on the way from Hall's. :thumbsup:

I now have two running Husky in the garage. :D

Thank GOD!!:applause:

I thought the next step was going to be a bullet in the cases. :D

The WR likes the big brother after all. :cheers:

Man'O'Man...thank goodness! Truth be told, your TE 510 and my TE 450 are better suited for fast flowing single track, 2 track, hills and more open style riding than slow technical stuff! I'll continue to use this bike to train with and hopefully get a 2010 or 2011 TXC 250 or WR 300 (with new engine and ergos).

I agree. I love the bike at places like Loretta Lynn's, where I can get it flowing and use the power on all the big hills, but it's a turd on "goat trails".

My buddy was buy the other day and he point out that when we went to the fall ride at Loretta's last Oct., I did have any problem with the bike stalling. I rode for two days and only stalled it once on one of the single track sections. In April, at the same place, it was stalling all the time. I had several stall related crashes. So I check back in my records and about the only thing that is different was the PC III map and lower compression, so I put the same map back in.

I rode it for several hours this evening, basically just dual sporting around the country side and it ran very well.

I hope to get to race Sunday, but it will be pretty gnarly, so I plan to use the WR. But, there are some races coming up that the 510 should be good for, if I can get it to run like it did at LL last fall.

And thanks everybody for the support.:thumbsup:
