• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Tall riders

I'm 6'4" with a 35" inseam and I find the Strada very comfortable once I've removed the rubber from the pegs. The only problem I'm experiencing is with the back brake lever, which is a tad too high for my foot. I'll probably just solder some piece of metal plate between the stop switch and the metal flap of the lever in order to lower it down. On the left side I lowered the gear lever by two positions (the third would touch the base of the peg). I drive in an urban environment, but I can see the lower gear lever as being a problem when doing offroad in the Terra.

This an older thread but I'm wondering if anyone has updates on Terra mods for a tall rider? I'm also 6'4" and 185. I got really excited about the Terra but when I finally sat on one it felt small and cramped. Too much knee bend and forced to sit forward in the stock seat. I know SeatConcepts has a high seat available. I feel like I'd want to lower the pegs and move them forward, if possible. Any comments?
Thanks
K

bolt straight on the Terra. I have them on my 1150GS, and will get them on the Terra as well. Along with a PowerMadd or Rox Risers, the Terra should fit most of mankind, leaning towards the upper end of the Bell-curve!

Just to add my two cents... I'm 6-4, with a 36" inseam and the stock Strada fit me fine for a 2000+ mile ride along Route 66. I used a sheepskin seat pad to help with the seat height. It is a very comfortable bike, for me, YMMV.

Or save yourself a few bucks and get the ones for the F800GS, which also bolt right on.
