• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Tasky demo day coming up - SUNDAY April 19

Another great demo days. Taskys freaking rules. Picked up my 09 WR125 there but did not ride it. I did ride the 09 cr125 and it confirmed my decision. LOVED it. Compared to my very good 04 CR125 it had more power, more overev, way better handling, way better suspension, awesome ergos, and felt like it weighed nothing. I felt very fast on it. other than the FE450 breg it was my favorite bike of the day.

Very well setup event this year. Thanks Taskys, JR and everyone.

Just wanted to thank all the riders that came out to ride our bikes last Sunday. Without you guys, we have no reason to do this. It's great to see such a large bunch of dirt bags all in one place and having such a good time!
As always the weather was perfect, and the course was awesome. The novice loop had some nice double track and a few "fun" spots. The expert loop had some sweet new cut single track - with your typical NW roots, ruts and 45 degree logs.
It was a pleasure to bench race between rides with everyone.
I think we ended up with around 200 attending, and around 125 demo riders.
Thanks to:
All the riders,
JR for the best demo track known to man,
Nick and Shane punching ride cards at the start tent,
Linda Pomeroy for bringing Jim's bikes to display (one of which had never before been seen in public!)
John's gas donation,
Jamie Tasky , Mom Tasky, and Kristi at the sign up table,
Everyone behind the BBQ's at lunch!
Get Bent Up for all his help,
Jeff Jr. meeting all you guys with trash bags at the entrance,
Husky NW for all his help,
The Espresso guys,
and everyone else who hung ribbon, stapled arrows and put up signs.
Mike and the crew from Master Link Pro for footage and interviews for our DVD of the demo day available soon.

It was one hell of a Sunday! Ride on and see you guys on the trail.

Jeff Tasky

Jeff,

The thanks goes to you man :notworthy: Really unbelievable what you (and crew) do there. Bikes, food, Tee's, great people, awesome track, friends everywhere  Husky / Berg owes you guys big time. No one promotes the bikes like you guys do. It really is a remarkable thing. I can only think of one way the day could have been better and that was if Les from LT-racing had shown up like he was supposed to (need to find out where he was???) I usually take a bunch of pix but saw a lot of cameras and vid happening and was having so much fun I did not even get it out.

You guys are the best. I have bought 6 bikes from you since 04 and I don't see that ending some time soon. It's just awesome.

Thank you. :applause:

- BTW, I did not know that was your mom, super nice lady, had a good chat with her.
