  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

hi
I tested a tc on the bench ,and this is the result.
The bike only has 3 hours ,so maybe he still has to come lose .
The blue run is whit the seat off, the red is whit the seat on !!
We only driven Honda in the paste and now my brother hase this tc .
He is happy whit this bike especially the stearing and suspension is good .
Now we have to find some pony's to to have the same hp as the jap bike's .
Is there a powercommander avalible for this bike?

grdz
PS; the hp is on the rear wheel .

Actually 26hp at the rear wheel is not that bad. There is a huge loss of hp from the crank to the rr wheel.

Hi
The blue line is the Honda the red the TC .
The other chart the red is the TC and the yellow is the Honda the best I ever got it .
Now al that said The tc is not a bad bike ( the engine runs cleaner than the 2008 honda ) it only needs a few HP for the sand and mud .
When you look at the first chart i posted you see a run whit and without seat , you see that there is progress possible whit the air intake , but than in the high RPM there is a dip, i think the air fuel ratio becomes onstable.
There is my question again is there a power commander available for this bike ??
Also we took out the db killer inside the Akro and hoped it woud make difference in the low RPM but it is strange ,it makes now difference at the dyno .

I really like the 2010 TC250 and was hoping the 2011 would have a litttle more power. It doesn't help the interest when Husky was the last to release their 250. I would still take one over the Honda because I just love the handling, brakes, and personal fit of the Huskys. Thanks for the posting the results.

I'm quite interested but also a little disappointed as well. It's hard to read the scale but it looks like the Honda has a significant horsepower advantage over the Husky. The latest generation of Husky 250's are great bikes and do handle amazingly but horsepower is oh so important on a 250 so Husky needs to extract a few more ponies to make it competitive. Compounding this is the level of aftermarket support. There are many bolt on and hop up options for the Honda (and other big 5 brands) but a very limited selection of options to get more power out of the Husky. Keep us updated if you manage to squeeze some more power of it!

Apparently a lot of power can be found in aftermarket exhausts. I know from personal experience that the Leo Vince full system works really well and I have a buddy who just put a full Pro Circuit system on his TXC250 and he is amazed how much more power he has from the system.

The Leo Vince aftermarket slip-on opened up the bottom and mid on my 2010 TC . The Leo Vince full Ti system on my 2010 TXC 250 transformed the bike! These small engines DO NOT like being corked. Let them breath and they will reward you.
