• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Has anyone done the 300cc kit on the TC 250 yet? I'm curious to the benefits. I'm thinking of doing the conversion when I need to do a top end.

I'm talking about the motocross version. Just wondering if anyone here has done this to a 5 speed bike.

I haven't done it yet but I'm thinking of doing the same as you. I can't possibly ride the full potential of the bike when it's a 250 so when it becomes a 300, I expect it will be way over my head.

They basically say it makes the power easier to ride. There are things you can do to the 250 though that are much cheaper like getting the cylinder modded by dicks racing or rb designs. They can change the power delivery and its a lot cheaper option. Also lets you stay in the 250 class ;)

Like Norman said, check it out. Plus when you siyn up you get munn racings newsletter and they often send a email with 20 percent off, making the 300 kit quite a bit cheaper.

That's what I was expecting. Thanks

I have a MY14 TC250 and it is the easiest to ride 250 2T I have ever been on, the power delivery is so smooth but when you hold it wide open it is plenty fast.

If you want to be faster and smoother, money might be better spent on suspension and ride time.

But I don't know crap....I'm just an old fat guy that rides in the desert.

300s make me lazy and I do not like the added vibration . sure you can short shift and run the same gear but I have found for me I kind of get in a trance and don't think I'm being lazy but am. A good running 250 at least for me gets the job done! But a 300 will provide a tish more torque and less shifting and clutching if that's what your going for.
