  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

TC250 Is faster than some people think!

As a mechanic and also working on heavy equiptment I've never seen a k&n out in the field . I've seen a lot of Wix , Donaldson and even Fram . Most machines that are in dirty air conditions have a 2 filter system ( inner and outer ) and believe me they are thick and heavy . Nothing beats a 2 stage oiled filter when properly oiled and drained of all excess oil and then pressed in paper towels .

got a chance to ride my bike with the modified end cap, noticeable difference. I also removed 20-30 CC of oil from each fork per MXA article, Big improvement, harshness is gone, settles into corners better.

I was able to pick up a used Pro Circuit pipe this week, All I can say is WOW ! Bike now barks out of corners huge mid-range Improvement ! I think it's worth the retail price !

So you are saying the Pro Circuit performs much better than stock pipe modified? Also, tried a GET box. AMAZING!! its on the want list!!!

i was wondering when you cut of the spark arestor did it make a diffrience in sound? was it a big diffrience

They are not a lot louder once removed, just sounds much healthier! Runs considerably better. If you can find one, a G.E.T. Box is said to add 4 horsepower. I am betting it is at least that much**************************************** CRAZY difference!!

Drill out rivets, use a socket that fits tight in end of pipe with an extension or ratchet so you can move end cap back and forth to get it loose. SUPER tight**************************************** Once removed it will be obvious what needs to happen.

I just picked up a 2013 from Halls that has the GET box & ECU programmer, ceramic ports, balanced crank, Pro Circuit pipe, and a bunch of other mods. We ran it in two flat track races and have come to the conclusion that if my son wants to maintain his first place position in Open B, he is going to have to get a 450. Hence, our Halls modded 250 has got to go. Too bad as the bike is just plain awesome. Make me an offer if interested!
