  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

TC250 Pics With Akrapovic pipe!!

Those hoses are quite unique compared to the usual red, black, blue and so forth.

Joe, after seeing your full last name, I can understand how you might be touchy about SS!

Alternatives:

Super Sleek
Something Slithery
Silver Slime
Special Sauce

:p

This is meant in fun. Not intended what-so-ever to offend anyone of German (me) or non German ancestry.

Looks like you've still got you db restrictor in, if you are allowed try pulling that out, power feels even better!! I love our Akrapovic's and we now run them on all of our team bikes!! What jetting set up are you using???

Duncan,

you were right!! I didnt realise that the pipe had 2 different inserts, I seen the big one that came seperate, and assumed it didnt have one in!

Yes the bike is tonnes better with it removed, seems to give more top end, whereas it was restricted before. It doesnt sound as loud as other 250's too which is good!

SS Racing was started in 2001 as a Husaberg dealer by my Father Melv, we became Husqvarna dealers in 2005 and from that day have only been Husqvarna dealers. Dave is right the S's are me Stuart and my big bro Simon only recently have we had comments passed about the SS logo on the van etc. We do supply parts to customers of ours in Germany and Europe so im pretty sure no offence is taken as there is method in the old mans madness.

Just became members of this fantastic site so hello to all Cafe Husky members.

Stuart

That looks fantastic!

BTW S&S wouldn't be ideal as that's the name of the biggest aftermarket harley-style engine company. I think SS is fine, first thing I thought of is Stainless Steel :)

have fun!
