• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Here is SA we had a long week end available this past week. Only did about 700km of fun riding over two days. Now a friend of mine who also has the same bike as mine decided to keep his bike with the original can as is--i on the other hand decided to fit a Answer Can with the lambda plug and resistor that cames with the can from Answer.

We had couple of drags and everytime it looked as though his bike was just not up to it--The excuse he used was --I must be at least 20kg heavier than you---He also said he was not interested at first as his bike is just great as it is--and that he was not prepared to sacrifice extra fuel for the performance of the conversion---Then at within 100m of one another the reserve lights came on of both bikes--i was the one riding hard up front and powersliding through the corners :)

Towards the end of the ride i decided to let him take my Hussie for a ride--

He came back with a smile on his face and said--WHAT have you done to your bike :D He could not beleive how smoothe the power output to the back wheel was as well

Amazing how we forget how well the go once we have done the converion on them--Until we ride a stock one again.

Did the same thing to a friend of mine, my opened, jetted bike and his plugged, stock. They were just Honda 230's but what a difference it makes. Then there was the drop my 450 off at the shop for the first service and PU kit. Almost looped it in the parking lot because of the power and throttle stop being removed.

Blazes, where did you buy your Answer muffler? How louder is it than stock?

Hi there--i bought it directly from the importer here in SA. It is not too much louder than the stock pipe but has a healthly sound to it. I am not too keen on very loud pipes as i do a lot of riding in areas where we have wild game. Just right for me and came with the sensor plug and resistor clip in the box as a complete unit
