As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.
When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.
Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.
Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.
Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.
Thanks for your patience and support!
The manual is on a computer stick and I don´t think there´s a printed version available. Your dealer should be able to make you a CD of his copy.Hi Guys,
I am a Husky Noob, I heard about this site on Advrider and thought I would join and try to learn a thing or two about Husqvarna motorcycles. I just bought a 2011 TE630, It was a dealer/press demo bike and had 150 miles when I got it. The canister and O2 sensor have already been removed. The bike starts easy and is smooth, so I am hoping that runs well. Also, I didn't get a operators manual with the bike, the dealer is going to try and get me one, but in the mean time, is there any place I can find it online? Thanks

Glad to help.Jtemple sent me all the information I needed. Thanks

Any real reviews of the TE 630 yet? I dont mean editor's that are paid to do the reviews, but someone that went picked one up, started farkling, modding, etc.
Worthy bike? Compared to a KTM 690 how does it fare?
I looked at one at Tasky's in Everett a few days ago and am intrigued. I have a 450 for the serious dirt work, but am looking to replace my 950 adventure with something maybe a bit more nimble but still street worthy.
looks to be about 10k out the door.. so comparable to the orange 690
I just picked up my te 630,two days ago.its my first bike sence i stoped raceing 15 years ago. so im very happy right now.i paid 7,800 for it.my brother dought one at the same time,so its been a great week.
My clutch master cylinder has been leaky. At first, it was the reservoir cover. A new gasket fixed that. Now the plunger in the lever is leaking. I think Hall's is going to warranty the whole master cylinder. I'll find out next week.
I had the same problem ... clutch master leaked like a sieve at the plunger.
Replaced under warranty.

I ride mine to work a lot. It's an 8 mile trip and takes about 10-15 minutes. A good part of it is down a straight stretch of highway at 60 mph. With mostly commute riding, my low fuel light comes on at about 105 miles, like clockwork. If I fuel up right away, I'm usually putting about 2.5-2.7 gallons in to the 3.1 gallon tank at that point. Shooting low, that puts me at about 42 mpg. This won't be a single track bike as I have my 2009 TXC250 for that. I really need 120 mpg from the tank and it sounds like that is not realistic once powered up. What are the cargo carrying options for the bike? I want to be able to have two saddle bags, (panniers??) on the back of the bike for storage and overnight trips.
^ I get 40+ mpg at spirited riding with p/u. With 3.17 gallon tank that will get you 120+ miles. Seat height is 36.61" according to specs. Sure they run crummy down low before p/u, but that is only about a $40 fix for the p/u parts. The twin pipes could cause some mounting issues for saddle bags, but surely it's doable. I have a friend with a current gen. (wait, they are all the same, lol) DR 650 and he was saucer eyed and taking phone pics of my 630. IDK where I am going with that, but ick, a DR that is 1980's tech over a sweet Husqvarna TE 630. The bottom end and the top end of the 630 motors have both proven the test of time. I think Husky hit the nail on the head with mating the 2 together.
