• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

TE/TC TE Gas Tank

ajaxauto

Husqvarna
Pro Class
Has any one with a TE measured there tank and got 2.9 Gallons like Husky states

I have 2 husky TE 300 Gas Tanks and there is a 20 Fluid ounces between the two

one is 2.8 the other is 20 Fluid ounces less

Does IMS or acerbies make a tank that you can run the Stock Husky shouds

Thought ims came out with one even though it took awhile. There was a thread in here where guys were putting hot water or something in the tank to expand it

Still would like to know if anyone has really ever measured there gas tank to find out how much it really holds

john its been a few days...you could have done a test by now duuuude..... empty fuel container fill 1/2 gal at a time mark lines, pour into empty fuel tank 1 gal at time then down to 1/2 gal. once you get the big numbers use a ratio rite or smaller measure and fill to top. fact is I did it once at the beginning and thought I would remember ...which of course flew right out of my air filled head.

Robert I know that I even told you What has me pissed is a took a TE 300 gas tank spent 400 dollars to turn it into a dry break only to find out it only holds 2.5 gallons My stock 2016 TE 300 tank hold 20 ounces more then the tank I got to do the conversion. You say only 20 ounces but at 20 miles per gallon 20 ounces get you 6.4 miles. That is a long way in a race I see many people say they are not getting 2.9 as Husky says
so now I will send in my TE 300 gas tank that holds 20 ounces more then the one I converted That also is less then 2.9 as Husky claims spend another 400 dollars to convert to a dry break All this so I do not have to run a IMS

Robert as for a test I measured it 3 times each time got the same answer less then 2.9
as claimed but 20 ounces more then the one I used

Thanks for the offer But I really want to stay stock and a stock tanks that hold 2.9 like Husky claims is all I really need.

All those numbers are a mystery to me as US gallons are smaller than UK gallons! (1 US = 0.8 UK)
My 2016 300 has an 11 Litre tank, but reality is you can only get 10.5 in it.
