  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

TE250, '09 or '10 - Differences

i have the same bike but was told it was a 310. the frame says its a 2010 US te250. Is there a way to tell between the 250 and 310.
It's got the mukini throttle body and a Power commander under the seat. Goes pretty well either way but i'm looking at registering the bike and need to find out.
Cant find a Engine number on it anywhere

Mine is registered, but I can't find the VIN in the bike frame. The only number I find is "09-39 MT TE2 NY10", which I don't know what it means.
Even the VIN in the ECU when I connect it to ibeats is different from the registration paper.

This is how I remember it.

TC250 2009-2011 x-lite with black head 2012-2014 x-lite with red head.
TE250 2010-2012 x-lite with black head 2013-2014 X-lite with red head.
TE310 2011-2012 x-lite with black head 2013-2014 X-lite with red head.

was there a TC250R in 2014? I thought it was just TEs (maybe TXCs). sheesh, CRS. maybe it was a US-only thing; or was it the 2-stroke TC250?

JonXX- there was a nice blurb in Cycle News about the Salem Indoor series.

If it has Athena stamped on the cyclinder wall its a 310

Wasn't that only for the non x-lite motors? Athena produced the larger bore cylinders, but did they produce the cylinders for the bored and stroked x-lite 310s?

I can't recall if it's stamped on my '13 310.

ok cool - i don't have Athena stamp on the head
The ive got A6568 on the middle bore the A6341 on the head and also on the head near the throttle body port i have 499 c Cilardoni 1 2/2
Which i'm guessing is all italian factory cast id's nothing really to do with the internal bore.
Any clarification would be great.
