• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

7900 OTD if no sales tax. Are you getting quotes for shipping and setup fees? There are some dealers that participate in charging such foolishness.

In calling around looking for a place to put a deposit down this fall, all the dealers in WA were sticking to the full MSRP+ BS, so I went with a dealer that hadn't been a PITA for me yet, Webb. (Ride wasn't showing up as a Husky dealer then, bought a sled from them a few years back and they treated me well, and I'd go back) Other than poor communication (IMO, but maybe I'm just impatient) about ETA of the bike, Webb was fine.

Just trying to get a feel of the market and maybe its regional - dont know, but 3 places in the Western portion of Washington state have quoted me in the $700-$900 range for freight, set up etc, on top of full MSRP.
Others dont but are waiting for their March shipment from Husqvarna.
The ones asking full MSRP + the extra setup and freight and whatever else is included, still have them on the showroom floor.

I did call Bills, he is out of stock until (he hopes they come in then) March time frame.

It is late January I would get on Bills list and wait until March. I can not see rewarding dealers that want to gouge, it only encourages them to do it more. The only way to stop it is to not participate.

Ha KTM or husky is smart about marketing strategy. Resale may at least be OK...around here seems OK. Larson's cycle in Cambridge Mn charges no extra fees...I choose to drive eleven hours to halls for a number of reasons...

I have spoke with bills on several occasions. No bad vibes. Good prices. Seems real honest knows his stuff and loves what he does. I would not hesitate to buy a bike from him. On a sidenote and this may have changed but what I really liked before was it said they would take anything on trade except KTM. I loved it big time. Reality check they had to take the cub down because they were worried...... And I'll even be riding one. Wtf-&&$$$@##!!. Chapter three of the legacy continues.... Reports I have tell me the Austrian bike is as durable as the Italian bike. We shall see......on a side note there are still some carryover pre husky buyout 125s floating around and I have contemplated on buying one! One thing I won't miss is the wide radiator shrouds. When racing seriously I would have a stack 10 plus. Broken ones stacking up in the basement...none on gassers and none on tms must a been how wide they protrude out....lol...there are still Italian husky carryovers to be had at fair prices...
