I have a TE410E which recently developed an ignition problem and would not start.
Trying to sort it out I realised how poorly supported Husky ignition electrics are, and decided to document my attempt to solve the problem.
I put the thread in the "Older Single Cams" section, as I thought that was the most appropriate, but looking again, I realise that TE410E has far more in common with the 610s and shares the same ignition with TE610Es and SM610Ss from 2000-2006. So I am adding a link to it in this section, and hoping that someone knowledgeable in Husky electric may have something to add.
At the time of writing this I am considering options like rewinding the excitor coil (which is expired) or finding a solution that does not involve any excitor coil at all.
You can read the whole saga, as it develops, here. (reading from post #8 will allow you to skip my initial bafflement and frustration
)
If any mods think that the thread is better suited in this section, feel free to move it.
