• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Team USA

There's some good names in the lineup. Not as heavy [all around] as I thought, however.

For all the crap some have been talking about Team France (including myself), they look pretty alright - on paper.
dang I wanted to see the bullet#!!! he is so dang entertaining to watch, never a dull moment. Im still in awe over that foto of him scrubbing that outside line soft corner rut from before he broke his thigh, that is one of the best MX fotos of all time IMHO (and I can think of alot of cool ones both old and new).

# just in case, the bullet=Jeffry Herlings

He's always a factor and can punch out and be gone at any time - crazy fast. Who knows? Maybe he'll do his rehab down at El Challe. :D

OK, quick re-evaluation:

Australia and France could play spoilers. I dont consider Italy a potential spoiler but more a favorite because they're pretty stacked - a Cairoli equiped 250 is STILL pretty bad a$$. France, while not even going after Mighty Mouse and Superman, still look ok.

I like Noren, Vanhorbeek, Tonus, Leok, Simpson, Searle and Nagl but not sure their teams are the best they could be.

But, again, anything can happen.

They will have nothing for the USA after seeing the battle the top 3 or 4 had this year and lapping very fast factory riders, IMHO. We have more top level riders on one team.

Latvia? Think Vikings and Reindeer.

I also have some high end hand made speakers from Latvia. The components are amazing in those.

Sorry for the partial derail.

I agree, Team USA looks very good this year. W/the late season charge makes me wonder just how much better we'd be w/Canard on the team.
