• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Tecate GP 22Oct2011

1030 start. 8 mile loop. 2hr + 1 lap. I think for me 6-8 laps tops.
OEM peanut tank on the TXC450 1 fuel stop after 3 laps to be safe(maybe 4), check time at fuel.
For me this is a no "race face" event, just a fun/careful loop ride (open road Mexico races are dangerous). The $1000 pro purse will have the fast guys going for it, I am counting on being lapped by the fast guys. Just want to participate not spectate! R

Classic, only in Mexico, race time change......(pre race "spy" video has us not only crossing but riding down the middle of the active track as part of the loop)

Update:

Start time has been changed from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM.

This is due to the fact that the train will arrive at 9:50 AM in Tecate. We want to make sure we have extra time to double check the railroads are clear before the start.

Regards,
Bebo.

Only Husky represented, 46+ Masters Class, 2nd Place.
8 mile loop with endurocross infield section. Completed 5 laps, gas and break after 3.
Bike worked great, course was challenging(very dusty at times) and was super cool starting on the street in the middle of town the Mayor waved the start, lots of spectators, lots of fun. Our San Diego crew all finished well and with no injury.

Very Nice Rob.... now get that machine cleaned up and ready for Cahuilla Creek MX next weekend...

Kodak gallery does not work for me on your post above... Photobucket link is fine....
