• Hi everyone,

    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Have you ridden with it yet in our neck of the woods?

Tried to purchase one of these helmets but was informed by Atomic Moto that Klim will not allow sales to overseas addresses.

This is very disappointing, as the local Klim distributor here in Australia does not even stock this helmet due to the fact it has yet to be certified to Australian standards.

That's an option. Of course, you have to put complete trust in a stranger that you will never meet. I'd be glad to do it for you:thumbsup: I'd like to have a friend in Australia:applause: Seriously, I don't have a job right now so I have all the time in the world and I don't mind going to the post office for you. Actually, a friend that owns KTMworld (they're a Klim dealer) just told me the pictured helmet is the '08 style. Regardless, it's a good deal. I sweat a ton during a race and I'm hoping this will help.

Arod - this is worth a try.... I used to be drenched in head sweat...

Wear a 661 Cool Core around your neck... You will be amazed at the overall reduction of head sweat. I was a non believer until I bought it and tried it...... great for hot weather riding and very comfortable. I wear mine with me Leatt. no interference and comfortable....

Brains "Deals" are very hard for me to resist at times.
I was actually kind of relieved to see that he didn't have XL.

I have one but everytime I think about using it, I fear the humidity around here is going to make it feel like a hot wash cloth.
 
Still a good deal at Atomic Moto. I bought my 2nd Klim F4 helmet. The first one has had the crap beat out of it, no mouth piece, no more louvered vents on the top, cracked visor.....But she still works good. $177.00 to the house. I also bought a new set of knee pads, a Defeet Un-D-Lite Baselayer Tank (anybody have any experince with this product?) & a new pair of MSR riding shorts. Everything was priced below any of the competitition, I made sure to tell Brian that Cafe Husky sent me after he asked how I found out about Atomic Moto.

I also bought a GoPro Hero, I'm looking forward to posting some video of my riding areas.
