• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

TE/TC The best radiator guards/braces yet!

To me the forged ones are just fancy roost guards... they may protect the side hit if you fall just right but we all know those pointy rocks screw stuff up and make radiators look like tacos....

For the "trail trash" problem I found a great solution.... I put nylon stockings over the guards, the mud is stopped before it can clog up the bottom of the guards and all the leaves and stuff just bounces off.... And trust me I run over everything.... lolUnabiker guard 1.jpegUnabiker guard 2.jpegunabiker guard 3.jpg

Yup them look solid racemx. Plenty of side impact/crush protection. Look similar to force but think force only have 3 braces (2 front 1 rear). Unabiker yeh?

Thats my story and I'm sticking to it.... lol

I ride in the muddy crap all the time.... I use it in many places....

Ya Unabiker..... Some of the biggest GNCC and ISDE guys use them....

I like that they convert the KTM to the kickstand rubber (which most use already) and have a spot for the rubber to hook...

I did a full on drop from about 4 ft high directly on radiator and didnt do a thing to the radiator... It screwed up my shroud but thats it

Has anyone used SRT offroad guards? They are cheap on ebay

A riding buddy of mine is a SRT dealer and he has them on his 300 xc w. They look really decent and I'd say very comparable to the bullet proof ones. I wouldn't shy away from them. They replace the louvers and don't wrap around like the 7602 unibiker or enduro engineering style.

Thanks. Yes they are more airy and with uni i had issues with air flow on my yz450, ran 250/270deg when i hit texhnical bits in woods (without fan). So, if i go guards now, they will have flow. In my opinion those factory leuvers are designed to scope air from tank leuver and are an incredible design. I think there is air flow lose when adding braces. Im adding fan because of my neg experience. And yes i do understand 2t is a cooler bike

Never taken a set off jus hose it out?! Would have to be pretty thick n dried out not to come out(bit of degreaser too)

Here you have to remove a lot because the sticks and leaves clog them up....

SRT only guard the front they are not side ptotection....

Yes it seems i have to clean rads too, maybe front mount would be my best bet for cleaning. I bought a TM designs skid plate and man is this permanent
