• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

The Eli Tomac Podium Interview - 2015 Phoenix SX RD 2

This guy is as cool as a cucumber ... He seems like he might be getting grounded to the 450 riding after last yr ...I'm still with Anderson on the Husky bike but wish this rider well for the rest of the season.

At the ~31 sec mark he goes off that take-off ramp... Totally relaxed and looks like he's gonna scratch his stomach or something.... Then proceeds to carve an inside line on KR94 and show him not only a wheel, but the entire bike... (Good work here by the track designers)

Eli utters something like 'I knew I could stay with him' in there somewhere also.. For the ones who already gave KR94 the trophy... well, it is not over yet ... -- (RV2 says, it has not started for him yet ...)

--
For those of you that do not follow this racing too closely, Eli and Ken have raced alot in the 250 series, before the 450 racing ... They both know each other well. I'm going with Eli to give KR94 all he wants ...

Good clean hard racing between them; good to see. My man Dungy still looks like he's hanging on rather than riding.

Don't count RD5 out for sure ... He's like the veteran rider out there now ... Too bad WP23 got shaken or we could have really seen them both race it out ...

--
Here's a cam view from the KR94 cam .... Eli gets that 'how is he going so fast without looking like he is trying hard to go fast' look ... Looks like he has better than average exiting corner speed also... KR94 knows Eli has his number ... He'll have to dig deep to beat him all yr long...

The lap is shown in the left hand corner and you know Eli is gonna come into the view...first a wheel, then a bike.

Eli knows it also and his interview says he's OK with it ... Every time I see Eli win a moto, I think he's gonna run off a string of victories ...

Toss in JA21, TC41, DM18, RD5, WP23 ..there's gonna be a good race or two this yr...

We need split screen action of the racing that will be occurring ....
