• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

The end of the Italian breed of huskys

In my eyes, they hit the nail on the head with this body style. From the tip of the fender, the best looking shrouds ever, the perfect everything! Very sad indeed.

I think it is the elongated look on the tank shrouds that set the bike apart .. Like in a speed photo of any vehicle, it sort of stretches the image and has a dynamic look and feel... All the flat, rounded shrouds on other bikes are static ... just slow and sitting dead in place looking ...

oregonsage this one is for you

Of course..the "not a race bike" TXC511...only semi-italian.

That's the first impression my husky made on me

Check out the cars of Cuba ...still rolling Detroit iron from the 50's they have love for their rides,I too have had to make a part, fabricate a fixit for some unobtanium part on back order etc...I plan to ride the wr300 as long as I am able ..as money allows I hoard parts. I would love to get some left over wr/cr 125/144 to build a 165 to build a buddy bike...
One of my fav bikes on here is Kelly's 04 /165...totally proves the viability of Italian design, a riders iniative to build what works , I doubt any rider could justify $10k on the "new" bike after riding something rebuilt for a purpose

I'll agree that the shrouds LOOK good but in the woods they suck! I have ripped off and/or cracked 3 sets so far.
the only thing I can do to keep the damage minimized is to put a couple of staggered layers of gorilla tape (HD duct style tape) over the tank shroud to rad shroud joint. I try to be stylish as possible when puting it on, luckily its black and kind blends into the graphics. But even with this joint sealer which does help keep things from getting caught up, I too have lost tank shroud tips and shattered rad shrouds as well.

Ive had a hard time keeping the center tank front/seat mount bolt from snapping also, since I ride in some brutal rocks and stuff and run a large IMS fuel tank. Ive broken 2 now.

Three rad shrouds so far in 4 months. I've only broken one on my 02 in 4 years. I just wish I could ride the 250 as fast as I can the 144!

What is your guess on how much longer cr125's will remain leftover? In a year from now could you still find some for sale at these prices? Im going nuts seeing all these deals and not having the money at the moment. I want to keep riding these Italian huskys for as long as possible and picking up a a cr125 and a tc250 and stashing them aside would keep me going for a good number of years after my current fleet wears out.

Keep track of Bill's inventory. He probably has the largest inventory of '14 CR125's. Of course one of them is mine so keep your mitts off.:naughty:

The center bolt from a 2006 and older were shorter and the mounting block was longer then for some reason the newer bikes have a longer bolt and a shorter mounting block I have broke my newer one but not the older ones you can get make the block longer and run the older shorter bolt the tanks are the same so it will not matter
