• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

The world is changing ? Bearing talk upside down

Bigbill. .when you balance the crank you have the conrod and pistons installed. .
That will have more effect on 4/ than 2/ tho.

Have over 400 FAG 3205 bearings in stock genuine German.

Called risk management running a Chinese bearing NFW.

What's your recommendation, for bearings in a 1987 430 XC transmission, and do you have any? This winter, I plan to start the case replacement process, due to having the steel case inserts, egging out the right case. I have a used set of cases.

Please note when i am talking about the 3205 C3 main bearing on ignition side double bearing

I am taking about Max capacity bearings being phased out from inventories from SKF and ZKL
at least thats what i have found.

Note - this max bearings has more balls in it , with 28 on orginal SKF - now 26 on SKF and ZKL is the other max
If you can verify the FAG bearing as truly coming from Europe and being a Max capacity if has real good
OC numbers on it. Got to find out more feedback on husky specing this bearin on left side. Morein info
than i talked about above.

Really pleased with SKF explorer series.

Sorry Bill I have talked to many race engine builders, they all say single cylinders can not be balanced beyond
normal specs. Not talking about being square and concentric , but the balence you talk about they say no.
All mine are at or under .0005. Which really is what is should be. Checked in four places. With two Dial indicators
one on each side.

Yes, Bill I know what you are talking about and so do the true full time engine race builders. All say no.

And I hope you not at 5 thousands its a 1/2 thousands

They asked about engine balancing. I'm not trolling I didn't catch any fish lol. I don't have faith in big engine builders I do my own thing. Sorry for being mistaken for trolling I don't even have a boat.

I think the max runout acceptable husky on a crank is .0008" eight tenths. Zero runout is better.

who exactly asked about balancing in this thread? the voices?
