• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

to all the ausies on this site

Id be there with bells on mate if it wasnt 2000km away, i could afford the time off work & i had the time for the road trip! last years looked like great fun! we got nothing like that anywhere up here in FNQ, think even the pony expresses arent gonna happen this year :(
I can imagine with what QLD has been through lately a lot of sporting events are either cancelled or on hold, hopefully the pony express stuff goes ahead.
The 12hr is a 1600km round trip for me, i must say i'm pretty excited about it, bring on the 24th March!!!

Who else is doing the Transmoto Magazine 12hr race in Batemans Bay on the 23rd March?
I'm entered in ironman class and going to put my 2012 TE310 through it's paces for the day.
I'm heading up with 7 mates but it would be great to see some Cafe Husky people there on their Huskys sticking it to the KTM crowd!!

Im in. Team "Pumkin Bashers" te310, te510, tc450 and a bmw450x
Looking foward to it, hope to not die

How did you go??
I finished, only just. I couldnt stand on the pegs by the end
so so much dust and one of the gnarlyist tracks ive ever riddin
was great to see so many huskys tho

What an event! The track was brutal by lunch time, the only place not whooped out was the rain forrest bit. The dust was killer, i used 3 air filters for the day and they all looked like chocolate cakes when they came out of the bike.
I came 9th in ironman with 17 laps, i had a great weekend and am planning on entering next year to try and improve on my 9th place.
My bike was brilliant, i didnt put a spanner on it all day! Just changing the air filter was enough to keep me out on the track for 12 hrs of racing

One of the coolest things of the race for me was being passed by Husqvarna factory rider Glen Kearney like i was going backwards!! I was on the racing line and he was off in all the crap absolutely flying!! When i realised who it was i thought that was pretty cool being passed by him

Half ya luck fellas, can't wait to get out for some ridding real soon.. Easter camping with the kids and no DirtSquirts...
