• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Tonight's Bubba prediction

What do you think his setup issues are... Do they keep him from getting a holeshot or at least a better place in the first turn?

Only in the mains... He seem to get great starts in the heat races. The issue is in his head.

I think he will win this week, I told my wife that too. She loves him and has been very dissappointed in him this year. I don't think he can expect to stay on top when taking the summers off.

Sucks that dungey is out of it!

Dungey? I have not heard anything. Whats up?

Just googled, Dungey out with a broken collar bone.
Pretty impressive how well he did last week racing hurt.
I am sure he will be back soon, but championship is pretty much over, unless RV gets injured and I hope not.

Been saying almost every week that Bubba is going to win, but just don't see it at daytona, he doesn't do well on rough tracks, so he will probably win and prove me wrong again.

Looks like all Bubba needs to win is a track that *should* make him crash! :D It was great to see Kevin Windham on the podium!:cheers: That guy impresses the hell out of me for being an "old man".

Barcia looks better and better. Finally got a good race out of Baggett too.

Both of them had better average lap times than the 450s by quite a bit....3 seconds.

Guess he'll have to move up next year. Should be even more competitive in SX

ETA during the race the expert commentators were discussing the KTM 350 and said it would not be the choice for them in these conditions, yet the 250s of Barcia and Baggett were the fastest.

Wow, what a race. RV is amazing. JGR has to be super happy and JS did an amazing job. Great to see Windom on the podium as well. Crazy race with fun results.

It's just crazy how fast those guys can go in the mud. I was wrecking on my couch just watching them! On the 450 vs 250....I know I can go faster on a 250 than a 450 in the mud. I mean how much power can anybody use in the mud.

Got to keep in mind the track got worse as the race went on, but it did seem some of the 250 riders were more aggressive.
It was good to see KW on the podium and but if CR,TC, and RD were in the race....

The 450's were slower simply because the track had deteriorated so much by the time they got out there.
Some guy on a Yammy 250 2t actually made this event.
RV's faceplant looked pretty funny to me :)

Barcia and Wilson will likely be the next big rivalry when they get on 450's. Wilson has more natural speed & talent IMO.

Overconfident from his win last week, he crashes early in the heat race. Misses the LCQ.

He's still in 3rd, although 44pts behind. The track was pretty slick and he lost traction going over the first jump right after turn 1. He came up short and Windham had nowhere to go and slammed into him.

This season is a write off, so many injuries.
