• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Who is WE? What is a "Dynomometer"? an instrument that measures the power output of an engine,? Has to do with brake rotors how? What does this have to do with Squids post? Hahahahah

I was trying to compare nickasil vs castiron sleeves.

A dynamometer has a load cell/ torque transducer between a large electric motor(28.000lbs in weight) the power of 25 bigblock Chevy engines, with a disc brake fixture on the opposite end. The motor has about 10,000lds of added flywheel weights.(steel) we wind up the rpm, shut off the power to the motor and apply the disc brake measuring the torque and stopping power, rpm.

A dynamometer is essentially a brake, that is why some times you will see an engine rated as "Brake Horsepower".

Dynamometer measures , records and translates the rate of change in kinetic energy over time and the force required to perform the recorded task.
This applies to accelleration and decelleration ad per bill argumentation.

All of which has no bearing on this post.

Popcorn, butter or whatever...
Reinheitsgebott counts. Cheers

I sent my 74 250 cylinder to New Zealand to get plated.. I really liked the porting / type of power the cylinder made.. but it was worn out.. on P8 Wiseco.. and now they aren't made anymore.. so I sent the cylinder to the Kiwi's with a P6 and asked the cylinder to be plated to the piston provided + 3 thou.. great job (the second time) price was around $400 AUD + postage with a 2 week turn around

Reinheitsgebott is the german purity law. how many beers to do the Job ? is that your question ?
