• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

So, does anybody have the touratech racks and cases?
Brother 1 (aka NOT THE MEAN ONE!!!) has them on his f800gs, and they're pretty nice. we've been talkinga bout putting them on MEAN BROTHER'S terra, and mine.

Money's sort of not an issue, i just want to do whatever works the best and won't fall aparts.

So, thoughts?

(oops, edited so it makes sense. hee hee)

I have them with 3500 miles so far, they can handle heavy loads....and tr subframe seems strong. I have one tip over and just put scratch in bottom plastic...they carry my 5-9 surfboard well also...if I were you, surf/bike/island life and for town trips.... hard luggage all the way!

Its kinda one of those "you get what you pay for" things. TT is def. not low end so you can expect their system to be good. That being said...there are a couple other rack systems out that appear to be much stronger and accept the hard TT style cases as well. Enjoy!

I almost got the touratech but went with the Trax box's from SW motech as the mounts are quick release and I like the way the black box's look...M2C

I just installed a set of BRmoto racks on my TR, so I have a set of Touratech racks for sale. Paid $358. Will sell for $275 + shipping cost. Includes strap system from Wolfman for use of their bags. Can't find install instructions but they are on the Touratech website. Excellent racks but I can't use them anymore because of clearance problems with the Leo Vince mufflers.

Please put things for sale in the classifieds, then post a link in threads without many details.

That way years from now people will not be using the 'Contact Us' link asking me if things like that are still for sale, because when they click on the link for the classifieds they will get an error.... I get those emails frequently from these types of things even years ago.
