As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.
When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.
Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.
Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.
Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.
Thanks for your patience and support!
Good input Bark. Might want to test getting the seat on/off with that on there if that is important to you... though you obviously could unload whatever you have in the box and take the box of if you ever needed to do that.
Yep, those bags in the pics I've been giving them pretty good use for the the past 6 years on 3 different bikes. They'll last another 60 by the looks of them. The stitching on them, even at the most stressed points is still all 100% intact. Andy loves his bikes and going adv riding and gives all his products a thorough workout himself before releasing them to the public. The Andystrapz bags are very similar in rack construction to Dirtbagz, which I've used on many offroad bikes in a punishing environment.
The principles are the same and they hold up really well. Dirtbagz don't currently have a TR650 offering though...
Did you ever receive them?I have ordered the factory hard bags as they look to be Givi Trekker rebadged units. I have a set on another bike and really like them.
I would love to see your setup once it is done. I want some luggage but hate to mess up the sleek Italian design with big side cases.Hi All,
About to be new owner , I'm picking up my Terra today, yesterday I talked to Givi, stateside, I'm in Eastern,N.C.
and the very nice man from Givi told me the set up was not available as an"aftermarket" item only through Huaqvarna...knowing all of that is sort of up in the air who knows when it will be available. My plan is to adapt a "plate" to the rear carries and acquire the Givi accessory mnt plate E250 about $75.USD and run one of the Trekker bags out back and some sort of small tank bag...and a few other farkles as I go....

Called them, they don't actually have any of it!Just looked up TR650 on Ebay like I do from time to time and looks like Gateway BMW has the rear trunk, trunk with rack, side bags and a few kits, skid plate etc.
Showing all available and more than 10 avail per item. Wonder what is up? My dealer can't get crap and they have all this stuff in stock?
Like Blakebird, I often use my Wolfman enduro bags. I think mine are the earlier version of the E-12 and perhaps a tad smaller. They hold a lot, and along with a duffel, or even the Wolfman Beta bag, you can pack a lot.Wolfman advertisement
Their E-12 Saddlebags, small Expedition tank bag, and Motion Pro tool pack.
Not shown is the Dirtbagz duffel that carries gear for overnighters.
Iirc@15lbs -How much would you say these pannier racks weigh?
