• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Trying out some new boots

Got a pair today also ...Slightly different model with the soles sewn on instead of glued (?) to the upper as compared to what Motosportz displayed above ... Mine are a Terrain Adventure model ...

Motoz, I'll be quietly flanking you on the far east side doing my testing\riding ... I'll apply a coat of mink oil before the first ride and I will not be wading any water in these if I can help it. I'd like at least a 1.5 yrs here on these.

I need to go try mine. I chickened out last week because i did not want to get them wet. If I do that I'll never wear them. They are going to get very muddy very soon.

Me exactly ... Tomorrows ride is gonna be down in a valley that has a river at the bottom and I'll be crossing it many times ... I'll take the old pair out for this one. But I might be racing Sat and Sun ... And practicing Friday ... I'll probably wear them then.

Have several rides with them now. Like them a lot. Feel lighter than my other boots. Comfortable, solid, EZ on and off. Buckles look kinda cheap and plastic but so far work well. Nice boots. Bottoms are thick and isolate you from the bike some, took a little getting used to. So far quiet pleased.

thats good to hear, ive got forma dominators wich are holding up equaly well three endorus and a 10hour trial plus woods bashing saw off my fox comp 5's fairly soon.
still wear trainers on days im not pushing...:naughty:

Think I'll pick up a pair....is the sizing run pretty true or possibly smaller per size? I ask because the ProGrip pants (Italian made) I just picked up run small to size....that's held true for many Italian products I've purchased throughout the years and just wondering if it's what I should consider again. Thank You.
FWIW... the price at Atomic Moto is now $200.00 pair.

personally my dominators run a fraction too large but thats only to be expected with removable liner booties. not sure on the boots kellys got tho?

I have Dominators as well. Good boots. These ones are cheaper and more simple in design. No inner boot.

yup i cant fault them well protected on shin definetly buy form Forma again as seem well shaped to my calf and knee height, am us8 so child like feet hard to find boots to suit. hence i usually bust about in trainers.
