• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Trying to buy genuine TR650 windshield

I'm trying to buy a genuine windshield for my TR650, and having a bit of a delay getting hold of one at the moment in Australia. Can anyone help with a dealer who has one of these windshields in stock and is happy to ship to Queensland Australia please? Thanks

Don't know about down under, but ktm-parts.com has 3 coming in in the next week or so. I know two of the three are already sold. I called and reserved one yesterday.

I called around in USA, found one at Hall's 217-789-0107, www.hall's-cycles.com they also have a online order form on there website. I know there still out there, good luck finding one, maybe someday I'll make it downunder for a motorcycle ride around your country, my dream!

To be honest, Good road riding around Australia is pretty much limited to the 100km closest to the Pacific Ocean in the eastern states, the Eastern half of Victoria, and the whole of Tasmania. Most of the rest is just hundreds and thousands of miles of fvckall. Not sure where you're from in Nth America, but the available riding over there, around the Appelacians in the east, and the Rockies in the west is really superior to most of what you'll find over here. If you're aspiring to ride elsewhere, particularly dirt road riding, aim for the south island of New Zealand. The entire country is a motorcycling paradise. The exchange rate is better too !
