• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Has anyone got a tip for (cheap) replacement rear turn signals? The stock ones are going to snap off in no time on the trail. I've seen bikes with small aftermarket LED blinkers.

These are nice & bright & cheap :D

All the flexible rubbery ones are all poor quality made to break and fall apart after one drop so you keep spending money on new ones.

I dropped some coin on these Bikemaster ones. They're tiny and really bright. They come with a resistor to keep the same flasher rate.

Ah...good mounting spot. I couldn't figure out what to do with the generic threaded-stalk signals. Will check those out...

There are 120+ pages on ebay under indicators. They have mini's that are very brite, compact and cheap. Buy a bunch of them and replace as you break them.

I got mine from ebay too. $10 or so for a pair of LED's plenty bright. Still working after a couple of years in use.

had a look thru ebay for these but couldnt find them. i like em. dont have a link handy?

Here You Go

He's got a variety of signals. Just remember if you swap front AND rear, you'll have to wire in some resistors or get an electronic flasher unit so they'll actually blink.

My stock indicators have taken many hard hits already and still fine. They have a semi break away function and I've popped them out twice. Just loosen bolt and reattach hold down stay and tighten back up. If I ever damage them I might look for a replacement but they've been so good thus far I might even replace with stock if not too expensive. Excellent light output also from all angles unlike some LED's.

YMMV. Never had a problem with the front ones, but my rear ones fell apart eventually after too many drops and from dismounting. I'd occasionally hit them with my boot. They are brighter than my cheap leds though.
