  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Unsolicited Praise for Red Husky...

That reminds me of one of my first trips with the 310

Ahh, theres a spot up there by you on that road that gets a big puddle in a spot that looks very similar. Always fun when I get to go mud whomping on the clock.

I was saying the other night, that for the past few years I have been riding mostly behind my son and his buddy. Now that they are getting a little older and becoming really good riders I am able ride my 2010 TE250 the way it is supposed to be. It really is alot of fun! Great bike, Had my suspension set up for me By WER and she handles awesome as well. I do enjoy this bike when I am on it, and yes most all bikes will have some issues.

My tc250 blew a connecting rod bearing after 50hrs. Bike was used for mx only was very hard to start and had to have oil changed every 2 hours because it would turn the oil black, motor ran hot. I love my 2008 cr and 2013 wr but must omit the tc250 was one of my worse bikes I have owned engine wise. It was a weak motor power wise also. Like the handling and why I bought my 2013 wr for the newer frame.

Understand the 125/144 had x-lite frame in '10-13. The 250's also?

Just ran Hurrah Pass both ways last Friday. 136 miles both ways. Hit the gas station down south to make it back.
No problems on my 2013 txc310. Ran great all week long. Down a bit on power compared to east coast riding. With the rekluse in it really likes to be in neutral or 1st to start on e-start, but that is it.
Single track monster!
