And you spent how much to make it run like it should off the showroom floor?
The money is already spent. It cannot be unspent.
As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.
When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.
Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.
Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.
Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.
Thanks for your patience and support!

I have driven a Cadillac CTSV with 556 hp( Holden to you guys) that ran like a sweetheart!!
I don't believe that. 100's of cars are sold per motorcycle. Someone is not doing their job!! Again.......
Well start believing because there's a reason why big thumpers are becoming extinct, it's because of how hard it is to make them pass the new emission standards in Europe because they pollute too much when they're warmed up (something about the combustion chamber/cylinder deforming when hot and clearance not being tight enough). There's a reason why Yamaha discontinued the Tenere and released the T7 concept with a twin instead...
the run until the fan comes on does not reset anything. You can only reset the adaptions with the GS911 or MOSS (or whatever BMW uses these days) and then rebuild the base adaptions by letting it idle until the fan comes on. From there it takes a few tanks and varied riding conditions to fully rebuild the adaption settings.
I assume you are referring to the G650GS recall, yes there are many items the Dealers have to check off but they are all things which should be done normally anyway. They are just ensuring the Dealers actually sign off on each item which perhaps tells you somethingFrom what I read it is alot more than a reflash.
