• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Vintage Husky Helmet and Visor Decal

schimmelaw

Husqvarna
AA Class
The real McCoys. An endangered species. Originals from the late 70's maybe early 80's. Can any of you boys recreate either of these two decals? I'd love to have an upside-down "H" on my helmet but I can't make myself to do it. I don't want to use the LAST one in existence.

Any reproductions already available????????? I'll take two blue ones.

Rick

I already have a few blue gunsights cut from another project. Color matches the blue body work of the 2006 TE's about 3" tall. Is that what your looking for? Can make set yellow ones if you like, with or without the white outline. Shoot me a PM if interested.

Welllllllll, went and did it. Sent the originals off for reproduction and this is what I got back. Hells bells. I'm a happy man. These stickers are better than the originals. Thicker. Stickier. What more could a man want? My "old" open-face helmet is taking shape.

Thanks, Hwy.

There will be extras for sale in "vintage classifieds".

Those are Sweet!!! Very Nice. Now do you have the full front face to match it?

HT,
Not yet. Scouring the country side for that elusive one. Just takes time. Took about four months to find this one.

Bryll,
Man, I want that decal! Thats the one I've been looking for.

"Swedish Ebay" - don't have a clue how to read it, how that works, shipping headaches or the cost in U.S. dollars BUT that is the one.

This guy will not accept international customers, but I can contact him and ask if he got more decals to sell. I'd like one myself :D

I won't place a bid on this one, since a fellow Hysky friend got the best bid on it right now :censored:

Bryll,
Thanks for your research and reply. Much appreciated. Wouldn't want to get in a bidding war w/ one of your buds anyways.

Good news is - looks as though an "alternative" source is in the works.

Just received my helmet decals that Art makes. Perfect work.

Got my hands on two of the decals, will most likely arrive on Monday in the mail :)
They where not cheap:( but they looked nice on the picture, so I couldn't help myself from buying two of them :D

Bryll,
Super nice vintage find. Those visor decals are shown in my 81' and 82' "Husky Products" catalog. Post up a photo or two of your helmet/visor combo when you get them in and stuck on. Would love to see it.

schimmelaw,

I have to find my old helmet first, or even better buy a new one;)
The plan is to give a fellow vintage sidecar rider one the decals (He's running a decal production business) to use as a master, and hopefully will he give me a fair price if I order 50 or 100 copies :D

More infomation to come :p

Edit:
Here are the decals I plan to reproduce.
(poor picture quality, sorry)
