• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Ok that is it for the PC stuff. I did scan 2 more decals with the non italic font but i think they may be outside the 80's period? If anyone needs to know the date any of those products were shown in the magazines i can look them up. Will also start a thread on HP stuff i scanned too. I hope you guys like this stuff.

I'd like Mitch to port my 125s and 175s, but unfortunately I'm pretty sure he has more important things to do than port 30 year old Huskys.

I have a 1980 Husqvarna 250 cr with pro circuit porting, cut Mahle piston, rick asch pipe, internal motoplat, and the canister kit. I had the motor completely re built and has 2 hours on it. I also have a NOS seat, gas tank, and stock plastic that has not seen the dirt. It was my friends brothers bike and he was a support rider for Pro Circuit back in the day. I did have a number of brand new asch pipes (250, 390, 430, 500) awhile back that I sold for next to nothing. Now I'm kicking myself thinking what was I thinking. Pro Circuit also make a 470 kit for the 430. They basically stroke the motor. I have been looking for a kit or crank for years but never found one.

I'd sure like that skid plate. I knew I had a skid plate but couldn't remember.. now I know I used to have a pro circuit one.. It was nice and strong on my old 82 430 xc.. I'd like to put one on my 82' cr 430 now though.. where could I find one? or something similar?..
