• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Vintage Pro Circuit stuff

Thanks everyone! I haven't been on in a bit. I got one from a fellow cafe husky guy on ebay. It was a malcolm smith racing skid plate and the same looking. I've been behind on everything through the holidays. It's a new year and time to start working on all my bike projects. I have 4 and all of them have a list of goodies to be put on and maintained and just generally worked on in a variety of categories. Let the games begin!!! It's 2014!! I did get a nice white plastic gas tank for $40 bucks shipped. It looked like crap when I got it but with some elbow grease it's looking good. I'll put that on while repainting the stock tank.. I'm going to make it black like my xc. The black tank looks nice.

Are you saying that there is someone out there that has the templates for all the old Malcolm Smith bash plates, not just the Husky ones? i am after the one they did for RM250/400.

CALL RICOCHET 1 866 273 1197 I THINK THEY KEPT ALL OF THEM

Thanks. I also remembered i have a friend in USA who may be able to phone them.
Do you know if they will remake them with the MS logo stamped in them?

Yeah i see the Husky ones all the time but i have only ever seen ONE for a suzuki in about 8 years of searching ebay.
I have emailed ricochet and see what they say. Even emailed them photos of the exact one i am after.

I thought this was how the procircuit side panels looked. Did they have a couple of different side covers?

Does anyone have any PC plastics they would like to sell?

What are you looking for.. I might let go of my PC rear fender . It's not perfect of course. It's not broken though or cracked from what I can see but the white isn't like new. It's kind of faded and lightly yellowed/discolored . I'm setting my bike up and figuring out how I want the bike to look. I might buy the pc look alike side panels. I think it might work better for picking up the bike in trails .. not sure yet though. Still searching sites and looking at different bikes for ideas. It's good that you can get the new copies of the side panels. Maybe there's some new copy PC rear fender too.. I don't know about the front number plate.

PM sent, thanks

By the way, the M-Robert fender you can get as a UFO brand. Same shape with vents etc. i think UFO copied M-Robert or maybe it was otherway around? anyway its available as part of the UFO vintage line which is available from MD racing products in UK.

A few years ago Vintage Iron in USA had genuine M-Robert front fenders still. Maybe they still have some?

"I'd like Mitch to port my 125s and 175s, but unfortunately I'm pretty sure he has more important things to do than port 30 year old Huskys."

Been awhile since I checked in here. Don't be so sure on that. Got to chat with Mitch a few years ago at a SX and asked him about a pipe for the 81 CR125 I was using at the time. He surprised me by taking my question serious and even called Bones over to ask him if he had anything left. Told me they cut up one of their RM125 pipes and made it fit at the time. Mitch commented he had gotten a lot of inquiries on vintage stuff so ya never know if you don't ask........

Has anyone got any vintage pro circuit catalogues? I thought i saw one kicking around on here from 1985ish with a colour cover but cant seem to find it now :(

It might be naive of me but I just emailed PC to ask if they had any of the old Husky stuff left.......

I don't expect that they will have but if you don't ask, you don't get (that's how I got hold of my hard-to-find V-Force reed block for my '85 Husky 500AE).

I'll post whatever reply I get, as soon as I get it.......
